How do I place an order on InkSmithCo ?

To place an order, browse our wall art collections, select the artwork you love, choose your preferred size and frame option, and add it to your cart. Once you proceed to checkout, you can enter your shipping details, review your order, and complete the payment securely.

Will I receive an order confirmation after placing my order ?

Yes. Once your order is successfully placed, you will receive an order confirmation on your registered email address( & all comunication prefrence selected in your profile ). This confirmation will include your order details, selected artwork, size, frame option, and payment status.

Can I modify my order after placing it ?

You can request a change only if your order has not yet moved into production. Since most InkSmithCo artworks are made to order, we recommend contacting us as quickly as possible after placing the order.

Can I cancel my order after placing it ?

Order cancellation is possible only before production begins. Once the artwork has entered printing, framing, or finishing, the order cannot be cancelled because it is being made specifically for you.

What payment methods do you accept ?

We accept secure online payment options available at checkout. Depending on the payment gateway enabled on our website, you may be able to pay using UPI, debit card, credit card, net banking, wallets, or other supported online payment methods.

Is my payment information secure ?

Yes. Payments on InkSmithCo are processed through secure payment gateway systems. We do not store your card, banking, or UPI details on our website.


This reassurance is important because the website’s trust and conversion architecture should reduce buyer hesitation at checkout.

What should I do if my payment fails but money is deducted ?

In rare cases, a payment may fail even after the amount is deducted. Usually, the amount is automatically reversed by the bank or payment provider within their standard timeline.

Are InkSmithCo canvas prints long-lasting ?

What inks do you use for printing ?

We use Green Guard certified inks that are eco-conscious, non-hazardous, and made for high-quality art reproduction. These inks help deliver strong colour accuracy, clean detailing, and a safer print finish for homes, offices, and interior spaces.

Will the artwork look exactly like it appears on the website ?

We make every effort to represent each artwork as accurately as possible. However, slight colour variation may occur because phone, laptop, and desktop screens display colours differently. The final print is produced with quality checks to ensure the artwork remains close to the intended design, tone, and finish.

Is the canvas texture visible in the final print ?

Yes. Since our artworks are printed on premium cotton canvas, the final piece carries a subtle woven canvas texture. This gives the artwork a more elevated, tactile, and gallery-like appearance compared to flat paper prints or posters.

Do you check the artwork before dispatch ?

As a simple rule, choose a size that feels proportionate to the wall and the furniture below it. For example, artwork placed above a sofa, bed, console, or dining unit should usually cover a strong visual portion of that furniture width without looking too small or overcrowded.

For statement walls, larger formats create a more premium gallery-like presence.

What is a Gallery Wrap ?

A Gallery Wrap is a canvas finish where the artwork is stretched around the sides of a wooden stretcher frame. This gives the piece a clean, modern, frameless look and allows it to be displayed directly on the wall without an external frame.

It is ideal for minimal, contemporary, and gallery-style interiors.

What is a Floater Frame ?

Will the artwork design continue around the sides in a Gallery Wrap ?

In a Gallery Wrap, the canvas is stretched around the sides to create a finished edge. Depending on the artwork design and production suitability, the side wrap may carry an extended, mirrored, or design-safe continuation of the artwork.

Our team ensures that the final wrap looks clean and does not compromise the main artwork composition.

Does a Floater Frame cover any part of the artwork ?

No. A properly finished floater frame is designed to sit around the canvas without covering the main artwork area. It gives the canvas a framed presentation while keeping the artwork visually open and complete.

The frame enhances the piece without interrupting the composition.

Can I change the size or frame after placing my order ?

You can request a size or frame change only if your order has not moved into production. Since most InkSmithCo artworks are made to order, size and frame changes may not be possible once printing, stretching, framing, or finishing has begun.

What type of file should I upload for a custom print ?

For best results, upload a high-resolution file in JPG, PNG, PDF, or TIFF format. The file should be clear, sharp, and large enough for the canvas size you want to print.

Avoid sending screenshots, heavily compressed WhatsApp images, or low-resolution social media downloads, as they may not print clearly at larger sizes.

What resolution is required for a good canvas print ?

The required resolution depends on the final print size. Larger canvas prints need higher-resolution files to maintain sharpness and detail.

As a general rule, the image should look clear when zoomed in on a screen. Once you share the file, our team can check whether it is suitable for your selected size or suggest a better size if needed.

Can InkSmithCo check my file before printing ?

Yes. Before production, our team can review your file for basic print suitability, including sharpness, proportion, cropping, and possible quality concerns.

If the file is too small, blurry, pixelated, or unsuitable for the selected size, we will guide you before moving ahead with the print.

Can you edit, enhance, or prepare my image before printing ?

Basic file preparation may be possible depending on the requirement. This can include minor cropping, proportion adjustment, brightness correction, or print-safe formatting.

However, advanced editing, image restoration, background removal, heavy retouching, or custom design work may require additional time and charges after review.

Can I print a family photo, wedding photo, or travel photo ?

For the best result, we recommend using the original camera file rather than a forwarded or compressed version.

InkSmithCo does not print copyrighted artworks, brand logos, celebrity images, or third-party artwork unless you have the legal right or written permission to reproduce them.

Yes, custom size requests may be possible depending on the artwork file, image proportion, and production feasibility. Our team will check whether your file can be printed cleanly at the requested size.

If the requested size does not match the image ratio, we may suggest cropping, resizing, or an alternate size.

Will you crop my image before printing ?

Cropping may be required if the image ratio does not match the selected canvas size. Before production, our team will try to preserve the most important part of your image.

For portraits, family photos, and wedding images, we recommend choosing a size that matches the original image orientation to avoid cutting important details.

Can I preview how my custom print will look before production ?

Where required, our team may share a basic preview or confirmation layout before production, especially if cropping, resizing, or custom formatting is involved.

The preview is meant to confirm placement and proportion. Final colour and texture may vary slightly depending on screen display and canvas printing.

Are custom prints returnable ?

Custom prints are made specifically for your selected file, size, and frame option. Because of this, custom prints are not returnable for change of mind, wrong file selection, or personal preference after delivery.

However, if the product arrives damaged, defective, or different from the confirmed order details, we will review the case as per our return and replacement policy.

Is shipping included in the product price ?

What should I do when my package arrives ?

We strongly recommend recording an unboxing video for your artwork, especially for framed or large-format orders. This helps us support you quickly in case of transit damage.

What if my order is delayed ?

If a delivery attempt fails multiple times, the package may be returned to us. In such cases, re-shipping may require additional coordination and charges depending on the courier status.

Can I return an InkSmithCo artwork after delivery ?

However, if your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we will review the case and assist you as per our replacement policy.

What should I do if my artwork arrives damaged ?

If your artwork arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number, clear photos of the package, photos of the damaged artwork, and an unboxing video if available.

Once we review the issue, we will guide you on the next steps for replacement or resolution.

Is an unboxing video required for damage claims ?

We strongly recommend recording an unboxing video when you receive your artwork, especially for framed, large-format, or custom orders. The video helps us verify whether the damage happened during transit or before delivery.

Damage claims are easier and faster to review when photos and an unboxing video are available.

What if I receive the wrong artwork, size, or frame ?

If you receive an artwork, size, or frame different from what you ordered, please contact us with your order number and clear photos of the product received.

After verification, we will arrange the appropriate correction, replacement, or support based on the order details.

Are custom prints returnable ?

Custom prints are created specifically using your uploaded image, selected size, and chosen frame option. Because they are personalized products, custom prints are not returnable for change of mind, wrong file selection, low-quality uploaded file, or personal preference after delivery.

If the custom print arrives damaged, defective, or different from the confirmed order details, we will review the case for replacement.

Can I return an artwork if the colour looks slightly different from the website ?

Slight colour variation can happen because every screen displays colour differently. Phone, laptop, and desktop screens may show brightness, contrast, and colour tones in different ways.

For this reason, minor colour variation from the website preview is not treated as a defect. However, if there is a clear printing error, you can contact us for review.

Can I return an artwork if I ordered the wrong size ?

Returns are not accepted for wrong size selection because each artwork is produced according to the size chosen at checkout.

How much time do I have to report damage or an incorrect order ?

How do I clean my InkSmithCo canvas artwork ?

Use a soft, dry, clean cloth to gently remove dust from the canvas surface and frame. Avoid using water, cleaning sprays, alcohol-based cleaners, wet wipes, or harsh chemicals, as they may damage the print surface or frame finish.

For best results, dust the artwork lightly and regularly.

Can I wipe the canvas with a wet cloth ?

We do not recommend using a wet cloth on the canvas surface. Moisture can affect the print, canvas texture, and finish over time.

If the artwork needs cleaning, use only a soft dry cloth. For framed artworks, the frame edges can also be gently dusted with a dry cloth.

Can I hang canvas art in direct sunlight ?

Avoid placing your artwork in harsh or prolonged direct sunlight. Continuous exposure to strong sunlight may affect colour depth over time.

Canvas artworks are best displayed in spaces with balanced natural light, soft indoor lighting, or indirect sunlight.

Can I hang InkSmithCo artwork in a bathroom or humid area ?

We do not recommend placing canvas artwork in very humid spaces, bathrooms, damp walls, or areas with frequent moisture exposure. Humidity can affect the canvas, frame, and overall finish.

If you want to place art near a powder room or semi-humid area, make sure the space is well ventilated and the artwork is not exposed to direct moisture.

Does the artwork come ready to hang ?

YES! Most finished InkSmithCo canvas artworks are prepared for easy wall display. The exact hanging support may vary depending on the artwork size, frame type, and production format.

Before installation, please check the back of the artwork and use suitable wall hooks or hardware based on the weight and wall type.

How should I handle the artwork while installing it ?

Always hold the artwork from the sides or frame, not from the printed canvas surface. Avoid pressing, scratching, bending, or placing pressure on the front of the artwork.

For larger pieces, we recommend two people handle the installation to prevent accidental drops, corner damage, or frame stress.

As a general rule, the centre of the artwork should be close to eye level. In living rooms, bedrooms, offices, or hallways, this usually creates the most balanced viewing experience.

When placing artwork above furniture, leave enough breathing space between the furniture and the bottom edge of the artwork so the wall does not feel crowded.
